Matt Haney

Director, Project & Development Management

Matthew is Director of Avanti Project & Development Management, with over 15 years’ experience delivering projects across a wide variety of sectors including health, aged care, residential, commercial, retail and hospitality which include both refurbishments and new builds.

Matthew’s expertise rests with understanding our clients’ business, developing solutions and bringing the right expertise to the table. He is a successful project leader that delivers cost effective and timely solutions for our clients. Matthew has significant experience in design management, procurement activities, contract administration, feasibility studies and obtaining government approvals.

Project & Development Management

We ensure the land and buildings meet our clients’ requirements by understanding how business needs translate into design and by then managing the design and construction processes; on time and on budget.

The Avanti Project and Development Management team have created a four point service method, which is available as a holistic strategy or can be provided as individual components.

This includes end-to end project advice to optimise the delivery of assets and projects as well as sourcing and managing development land and assets into highly profitable and successful projects.

As licensed project managements and superintendents we can manage your project from start to finish, providing comfort that the construction process is in safe hands, while also managing project risk thereby, increasing the likelihood of program success

Our Story

To complete the circle, Avanti Project and Development Management was established in 2018 to support the Project Marketing, Investment and Commercial businesses. The services provided by Avanti PDM differentiates The Avanti Group from our competitors by offering support to our business units, while also operating as a stand-alone enterprise with its own vision and values.

Since inception, Avanti PDM has provided advice and services to the many developers and builders we work with, managed construction projects not affiliated with other Avanti businesses and has developed a loyal client base.

Ensuring projects are completed on time, budget and of the highest quality, Avanti’s P&DM team manage the project from concept phase through to handover and all stages in between. Our current ventures include projects valued from $2m to $90m, incorporating childcare centre fit outs, high-rise apartment buildings and major shopping centres.


When we take on a new project, in any capacity, we look at the big picture and pay attention to the finer details. Our aim is to take away the stress from you, as the developer by co-ordinating the many moving parts involved in a project.

We understand that the process can be overwhelming , details can fall through the cracks and you could end up going overbudget and over time. From planning an due diligence to design, council approval and overseeing builders/contractors, property development is a complex process and there are always additional elements which need taking care of.

We act as your secret weapon, providing the glue between the various stakeholders and contributors and acting as the voice of reason to help you make decisions to ensure your project is completed to your satisfaction.
