Avanti is proud to share the latest milestone in the development of Secret Garden Private Residences – a boutique collection of 22 luxury residences that will set a new benchmark for refined coastal living in the heart of Byron Bay.
Developed by JD Property Group, the project has officially entered the bulk excavation stage, with Cobild driving construction on-site. This follows the successful completion of sheet piling and the anchoring and bracing of the retention system. Construction officially commenced in mid December 2024, and we’re now seeing significant momentum as the project advances. The structure is slated for completion by November 2025, with Practical Completion targeted for June 2026.
Despite some challenging weather conditions recently in Byron Bay, the Cobild team has remained focused. Here’s what we accomplished last week: the site was secured to ensure work could continue smoothly, anchoring was completed, the temporary board was installed, and the ramp was reinstated to allow bulk excavation to progress.
Avanti Project and Development Management is engaged to deliver Superintendent Services for the project, with Scott Henderson leading the team. Our role involves assessing progress claims, managing variations, extensions of time, and overseeing all associated contract administration tasks. As the team prepares for structural works to commence later this year, we’re excited to see the project move into its next phase – setting the stage for what will be a standout development once completed.
