The Avanti Group is pleased to welcome Johnny Farquhar to our Project & Development Management team as Project Manager.
Johnny brings over 12 years’ experience across the property and construction industry, having worked in both Assistant Development Manager and In-House Counsel roles. This dual background provides him with a rare and valuable perspective – combining commercial development strategy with deep legal and statutory planning expertise.
Throughout his career, Johnny has been involved in complex residential and mixed-use developments, with experience spanning RFP processes, building remediation projects, Plan Changes and Independent Hearings Panel proceedings, and Development Applications for intensive urban schemes. His exposure to both the delivery and legal frameworks that underpin large-scale development enables him to anticipate risk, navigate regulatory pathways and support informed decision-making at every stage of a project.
Johnny has worked closely with subject matter experts, planners and consultants in preparing submissions, coordinating evidence, and managing approvals processes across evolving planning environments. This experience strengthens Avanti’s ability to guide clients through increasingly complex statutory, design and stakeholder landscapes.
As development frameworks continue to evolve and intensification accelerates across key markets, Johnny’s strategic insight and structured approach add further depth to Avanti’s advisory capability – particularly across front-end feasibility, approvals strategy and project delivery oversight.
